According to the Monroe Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of GW Carver Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult female suffering from fatal gunshot injuries. Despite emergency response efforts, Jadah Aeriona was pronounced deceased at the scene. An adult male was also injured during the incident and was transported to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
