Authorities confirmed that Ms. Ferguson was last seen at approximately 4:00 a.m. on the morning of January 19.

She was discovered by family members who were assisting in the search effort, in a wooded area near her residence, in the vicinity of Kiser Street and Hendersonville Highway in Walterboro. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the Colleton County Coroner’s Office, is actively investigating the unknown circumstances surrounding Ms. Ferguson’s death.
