ENFIELD, CT — With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Sabria Hardy, a beloved daughter, family member, and friend from Bloomfield, whose life was tragically cut short following a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 91 in Enfield on Monday afternoon. She was just 38 years old.
According to authorities, state troopers were dispatched to the scene on I-91 southbound between Exits 47E and 46 after receiving reports of a serious multi-vehicle crash. The incident prompted the closure of the highway and the Exit 47 on-ramp around 2:45 p.m., causing significant disruption as emergency crews worked tirelessly at the scene.
Sabria was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved. Troopers reported that the vehicle she was in had come to a stop in an undetermined lane due to a prior crash, when it was suddenly rear-ended by another vehicle. Despite the swift response of first responders, Sabria sadly did not survive her injuries. The driver of her vehicle sustained only minor injuries. Two other drivers were involved in the crash but were not seriously hurt.
No further details have been released at this time, but the loss of Sabria Hardy has left a deep and painful void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
