With heavy hearts, we pause to remember and honor the life of Abraham Corral, age 34, of Yuma, Arizona, whose life was tragically cut short following a fatal motorcycle collision on the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026. His passing has left family, friends, and the greater Yuma community grieving an unexpected and profound loss.
According to a press release issued by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office on January 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., deputies responded at approximately 9:24 p.m. to reports of a vehicle versus motorcycle collision near the intersection of West County 14th Street and South Avenue B. The initial investigation revealed that a 2014 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe, traveling northbound on Avenue B, collided with the rear of a 2014 Honda CR-V it was following. The force of the impact caused the motorcycle operator to be ejected onto the roadway, resulting in severe injuries.
Rural Metro Fire responded quickly to the scene, and both drivers were transported to Onvida Health for medical treatment. The driver of the Honda CR-V sustained minor injuries. Tragically, despite medical intervention, the operator of the Harley-Davidson—later identified as Abraham Corral—succumbed to his injuries after being transported in critical condition.
At just 34 years old, Abraham’s life ended far too soon. He was more than the details of a press release—he was a son, a loved one, a friend, and a valued member of the Yuma community. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who shared life’s moments with him.
Authorities have confirmed that next of kin has been notified, and the incident remains under investigation. Officials noted that speed may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
