SHREVEPORT, La. – It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we remember Kadarius Reed, a 34-year-old Shreveport man whose life was tragically cut short by senseless violence. Kadarius was taken far too soon, leaving behind a family, friends, and a community now struggling to come to terms with an irreplaceable loss.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner, Kadarius was found on Thursday after a passerby discovered him lying in the roadway at the intersection of Mayfield Street and Roberts Avenue. Shreveport Police Department officers responded to the scene and found that he had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. Despite their efforts, Kadarius was pronounced deceased, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Beyond the tragic details of that night, Kadarius was more than a headline or a case number.
