In Loving Memory of Wesley Bolden and Jordan Hall

An update has brought heartbreaking clarity following a tragic plane crash Sunday evening in Marshall County, Mississippi. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims as 29-year-old Wesley Bolden of Marshall County and 17-year-old Jordan Hall of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Their sudden and devastating loss has left families, friends, and entire communities grieving lives taken far too soon.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. Sunday near the south end of the Holly Springs–Marshall County Airport, located at 171 A.Q. Greer Road. According to officials, the small airplane went down in a wooded area east of the runway, just moments after something went tragically wrong. The quiet of the evening was shattered as the aircraft crashed and quickly became engulfed in flames.

Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said deputies arrived on scene within minutes, only to find the aircraft fully involved in fire. Due to the intensity of the blaze, authorities were initially unable to determine the type of airplane involved. Multiple fire departments responded swiftly, working together to extinguish the flames and secure the area amid extremely difficult conditions.

Authorities confirmed that two individuals were found deceased at the crash site. In the hours immediately following the incident, officials had not yet released the identities of the victims, nor were they able to determine where the aircraft was headed or what caused it to crash. As the fire burned and investigators worked carefully through the wreckage, families waited in anguish for answers no one ever wants to receive.

Now identified, Wesley Bolden and Jordan Hall are being remembered not for the tragedy that claimed their lives, but for who they were and the love they shared with those around them. Wesley, just 29 years old, was a son, a friend, and a member of the Marshall County community whose life was still unfolding. Jordan, only 17, was a teenager with dreams ahead of him, taken before he ever had the chance to fully chase them.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department has contacted federal authorities, and the scene remains secured as investigators prepare to conduct a full examination of the crash. According to Lt. Colonel David Cook, local officials will maintain control of the site until federal agencies arrive to determine the cause of the crash and piece together the final moments of the flight.

As the investigation continues, the pain felt by loved ones is immeasurable. This tragedy serves as a somber reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly everything can change. Communities in Marshall County and Olive Branch are now united in mourning, lifting up prayers and offering support to the families forever changed by this loss.

In loving memory of Wesley Bolden and Jordan Hall, may their lives be honored, their names remembered, and their families surrounded by strength, compassion, and comfort in the days ahead.
